A 5 Week Byonetics’ Progress Report

by Jean Genet

Here is an unedited 5 week autism progress report from parent Tia S. on how Byonetics has been positively impacting her son.

Jean,

I wanted to take a minute to tell you about how Luke is doing on the CDs. It has been a little over a month now that we have been listening to them, and I wanted to wait until I was certain what we were seeing was consistent.

As a very active parent and advocate, I have seen, heard, tried almost everything there is to help my son. Most of the time we would get progress, then regression, then progress. There are so many factors involved with trying to detox our kids and get their guts to heal, the communication delays and tantrums, it’s overwhelming!

I can’t imagine how parents who aren’t doing Biomed must feel – at least Luke has been recovering tremendously well. Anyway, I’ve known about your program for a few years and didn’t decide until about 6 weeks ago to go ahead and start it after reading so many testimonials from your parents.

We got the cds and began to play one each night as you suggested, and the environmental cd is on all the time.

Week one, Luke seemed to be calmer, more focused. This was his last week of school, so he did very well with the changes in schedule.

Teachers noted he seemed to be in a better mood as well. More eye contact. Still some tantrums, but he regrouped quickly. Some aggression, but not as much.

Week two, Luke started humming, not sure where it came from but a happy humming so not a bad thing.

Still very hyper, but more related to a yeast outbreak I believe than anything else. And summer break started, so might have been just boy stuff. A lot more compliant with learning aids at home. Less meltdowns. Seems to be understanding what I tell him more and mnore.

Week three – explosion in language.

Now he is much more interactive. Still climbing the walls, but now it is evident he is only doing it when I am distracted by the phone. Otherwise he is calm and happy. More expressive language. He said “happy” and knew what he was saying. Following directions, counting, colors, really excited about knowing what we are doing next. (Yeast is better now too – thank goodness!)

Week four - now he is spelling words with his Boggle Jr set – actually understanding that letters go together to form words. I am seeing the beginning of phonetics comprehension.

He is coming out of his shell. Also, it has been nearly impossible to get him to sleep all night in his own bedroom. He has begun to go in there on his own now.

Daddy’s birthday came and I told him how old daddy was and showed him how many that was (Luke is 4 and my husband is 47) We called Daddy at work and Luke said “Happy Birthday Daddy – 47!” Then he counted to 47. I nearly fell over.

Week five – Luke actually went into his room and turned the cd on all by himself. He’s still having some minor meltdowns but they are nothing like they used to be.

He was actually very aggressive when we started the cds – hitting, kicking, headbutting (and screaming) were frequent responses from him when he didn’t get his way. He has calmed down a lot – now and then he gets upset, he has just downgraded to light pinching when he is mad. This is a major improvement.

Luke still has a long way to go, but I really feel the cds are helping him. I am excited about seeing him continue to improve. I want to say that I do believe the sound frequencies along with the water are helping to ground him somehow, and I think he knows it too. I can’t wait to hear what he has to say next!

I know that several of the parent had requested information that I offered, and I want to apologize for the delay in getting you this testimony. This is the longest I have even been on the computer since my last email to the group.

When I sent that out I was still grinding his supplements and force feeding them to him. The amazing thing is that for the last ten days he has actually begun to take his pills and swallow them with juice. All because I had a conversation with him and told him if he did that he wouldn’t have to taste them. I didn’t think it would work. Well, it did!

God bless,
Tia S.
