Dear Jean,

Thank you soooo much. Alex is improving we received the CD and started Alex on it. It has been just about 3 weeks and he is doing great. i had my first parent teacher conference on November 19, 2010 with Alex’s teacher. I have to say she put me in tears.

Our conversation started with WOW what have you been doing with Alex i explained the program to his teacher and that we have him on almond milk, omega 3 and vitamin B12 patch. her response to me was ” i have been doing this for 15 years and i do not sugar coat kids and when they master a skill” but Alex’s teacher was amazed at the progress he has done in these past 3 weeks, i was relieved when she said that i did not want my hopes to confuse me and think it was my imagination with the progress that i have seen. Alex’s teacher also said she has 8 aides that assist her through the day 4 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon and all the aides notice Alex’s progress.

For example:

1 He is more responsive, you call his name and he stops what he is doing to turn around and make full eye contact with you to wait for your response

2 He comes to you when he is asked

3. He sits down when he asked

4. He does more appropriate play

5. He notices if the atmosphere is different or if a stranger entered a room and is more inquisitive as to what is going on

6 He is repeating words, babbling sentences and singing more

7 He is more focused towards his siblings and wants to interact with then as well as classmates

as you see there is quite a list and that i have noticed, his teacher and his brother and sister.
His sister says”look at Alex he is playing with the car appropriately” or one morning he crawled into bed and i said ” where is Antonio” his brother and he repeated “AAAAAntooonio” his brother was so excited and his response was Alex said my name and with tears in Antonio’s eyes he rubbed his brothers back.

Thank you Jean, Alex is doing great

Hi Jean,

I want to say that Jesse has continued to make good progress in every aspect of his development. He has started throwing in one word here and there – especially when he is denied something he wants and asked to say the name of the item before he gets it – after a long struggle, he may say the word.

Thanks for all your good work.

Victor (for Jesse)

Thank you so much. It will be nice to talk to someone else who knows what I’m going through. And believe it or not, there are already changes that I see in Nicolas. Today at his Occupational Therapy session his concentration level was wonderful. He attended to many task without any frustration, something we hardly ever see.

Thank you again for giving me and my family hope.

Your friend,
Christine

Jean, Ralph is sleeping. They said he slept on the bus and now he is sleeping again. He NEVER sleeps during the day. Not even if he has been up half the night for one reason or another. Its so amazing to watch him sleep so soundly at this time of day. Far out.

Today Nicholas took my glass of lemonade that I sat down on the table, and drank from a regular glass , by himself. Inwhich I could not trust him before, because he would pour it in the floor. But this time he held like he should and drank it without spelling a drop, I told him how well he did and the biggest smile went across his face. So I gave it back to him and he drank a half of a glass and didnt spill a drop. He sat the glass down carefully. That might not sound like a big deal to some, but to us it was. I took my false teeth out and Nick started laughing at me, I knew he was laughing at me because he kept touching my mouth and laughing so I said do I look funny, and he said yea. I took this as yes, so we both laughed. Oh yes, Nicks EEG results are back and they said he does have Autism, but the EEG is normal, I questioned Dr. Green at Riley Hosp. and he said Nicholas thinks as a normal 3yr.old. They said speech theropy would help.Does the cd help him talk instead of runnig to Indianapolis a few times a week? I think his crying spells are over I hope.

Well I will say bye for now. I need to tuck him in and kiss him good night.

I will stay in touch,
Deborah
